About EXPLR
EXPLR’s mission is to help kids thrive in school and life by providing real-world, rigorous, and relevant educational resources.
We create virtual and hands-on learning resources to educate, inspire, and empower young people to become agents of change.
In September 2023, EXPLR announced the 2024 National STEM Challenge, a nationwide initiative to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for STEM subjects among middle and high school students. The Challenge invites students in grades 6-12 from across the U.S. and its territories to conceive and submit STEM innovations, inventions, and research.

EXPLR’s top-scoring STEM Champions will be invited to be recognized at the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C., in April 2024. The Festival is co-presented by the U.S. Department of Education and EXPLR.
In addition to the STEM Challenge, we run two subscription-based streaming video and curriculum services for grade 5-12 students, educators and families: EXPLR Home and EXPLR Classroom.
EXPLR Home and EXPLR Classroom include videos from some of the most trusted and awarded brands in educational media including OSCAR short-listed films and series from Parents' Choice Award and EMMY Award winners and nominees. Both services address the serious need for a relevant, standards-aligned learning experience.
